Wax

Wax is the bone before metal. Volume, the height of a prong, the turn of a chain, and a gap left on purpose are doubted here. After the casting, the metal remembers every excess. The knife hesitates by fractions: too much, and the jewel is thick; too little, and a prong tires. A mistake is still cheap in wax.
